lapsa is Latvian for fox

The little fox who helps with teeth, shoes, big feelings and bedtime.

Lapsa sits on the bedside table of a child aged 2 to 6. She keeps your family's routines, names feelings and holds the limit, calmly and the same way every day. Then she sends your child back to real life, and tells you how it went.

Children listen to people who keep their word. So Lapsa is warm, but she doesn't bargain, threaten, shame or beg for attention. She praises the effort, names the feeling and holds the limit. What she asks for gets done, and then she lets go.

Every word she says was written by a person.

Lapsa never makes things up for your child. Her lines are written and reviewed ahead of time, in your language, and many of them come in several versions that take turns, so she sounds alive but never unpredictable.

AI does one quiet job: it listens. It understands what your child said, picks the written line that fits, and may fill in a few of their own words:

"You were sad when Miks took the car. That's hard."

No audio is kept. No transcripts. If a child says someone hurt them, she always says: tell Mum or Dad right now.

    Some questions a written library can't cover. So there are two exceptions, with their own look and voice, so the fox's promise stays whole.

    Short, true answers about the world, right for their age, with something to notice or try. Then off to look and play. The owl's answers are made by AI, and it says so to you. Big questions (death, babies, bodies, faith, family matters) go straight to you, marked.

    For families who want another language started early. A curriculum of about 300 ideas, in the order children learn them, practised by tapping pictures and doing things. Every try is praised, never "wrong". Off until you pick the languages.

    House rules

    1. Short, then back to real life. Every go ends by itself and hands your child to a person or the next thing in the day.
    2. No streaks, no unlocks, no "one more". Time on the device is a cost, never a goal.
    3. You're in charge. You set the rules, grant the wishes, read the book and give the hug.
    4. Warm and firm. Stars are earned and never taken away.
    5. Evidence, not hunches. Emotion coaching, visual routines, first–then, practice at waiting and stopping.
    6. Private by default. What's kept is small, yours to see and yours to delete.
